What I Do

Where I do my best work

How I actually work, from first question to shipped product.

01

Research & Strategy

Before I design anything, I go find out what’s actually true. I shadow the people doing the work, map where their day breaks down, and turn messy interview notes into a problem the whole team agrees is worth solving.

02

UX & Product Design

My home turf is the screen nobody wants to design: forty fields, five user roles, real money on the line. I give complexity a shape: clear hierarchy, honest defaults, and interactions that hold up when someone’s on deadline.

03

Design Systems & Ops

One well-crafted screen is a fluke; fifty consistent ones are a system. I write down the rules: tokens, components, and the agreements between design and engineering, so the tenth feature ships looking like the first.

04

AI-Native Workflows

A capable model isn’t a product; a workflow people trust is. I decide where AI drafts, where humans decide, and how the seams show, so teams stop demoing the tool and start depending on it.

Design Philosophy What I believe
Good design is invisible. I believe the best product experiences feel effortless, not because the problem was simple, but because the complexity was solved with care.
Testimonials

From the people
I've worked with

I had the pleasure of working with Tejas Patil at pWin.ai, where I served as Director of UX and worked closely with him on product design, user experience, and complex workflow challenges.

Tejas is one of the most talented designers I’ve ever worked with, both visually and from an experience-design perspective. He has a rare ability to create interfaces that are polished and visually compelling, but also clear, intuitive, and deeply considerate of the user’s needs.

What stood out most was his ability to think through complexity without overcomplicating the experience. He brought strong design judgment, thoughtful problem-solving, and a high level of craft to everything he touched. He also understands business goals and knows how to bridge user needs with product and business priorities.

Tejas has the instincts and maturity to lead through complexity. He takes ownership, drives alignment, and elevates the people and processes around him. Any team would be lucky to have him, and I recommend him without hesitation as an exceptional UX designer, product design partner, and UX leader.

I had the pleasure of working closely with Tejas Patil, and he is one of the strongest UX designers I’ve worked with.

Tejas has a rare ability to take complex product challenges and turn them into simple, intuitive user experiences. He brings a level of rigor to UX that is often hard to find, grounding design decisions in clear reasoning while never losing sight of the end user.

What I appreciated most was his ability to articulate and defend design choices thoughtfully. He challenged assumptions when needed, brought clarity to ambiguous problems, and consistently pushed for experiences that were both intuitive and effective.

Any product company would be lucky to have him. He is absolutely someone I would want on a dream product team.

Product Manager, pWin.ai
I’ve had Tejas on my team as a Product Designer and he’s one of those rare designers who makes every project better from the very start.

What sets Tejas apart is his ability to deeply understand the problem before jumping to solutions. He consistently asked the right questions, challenged assumptions, and made sure we were solving the right thing not just the obvious thing. That mindset made a real difference in the quality of what we shipped.

His creativity is something else. Rather than settling on the first good idea, Tejas always came to the table with multiple well-thought-out solutions, each with clear reasoning behind it. It made design reviews genuinely productive and gave the team real options to work with.

What I also appreciate about Tejas is his calm, easy-going nature. No matter how complex or ambiguous a problem got, he kept his cool, stayed focused, and brought a positive energy to the team. That kind of attitude is rarer than most people realize.

Any team would be lucky to have him. I’d recommend Tejas without hesitation.
